For editors and journalists writing about UUTA.
UUTA 2.0 arrives on 3 November 2026. A short description, a long description, a fact sheet, and angles for coverage. Email us with questions.
Short description
UUTA is a private place to notice an impulse, take an optional pause, and see when those moments come. A person names one focus in their own words and taps “I noticed it” the moment they notice a pull. A three-minute pause can follow, or not; “It passed” and “I went with it” carry the same weight. Patterns shows the hour, the day and what was around. Shield, free, puts one calm question in front of chosen apps. No account, no server. For adults, on iPhone and iPad, and Apple Watch. Built by Srutva Labs.
Long description
UUTA 2.0 is a new design and a new code base for iOS 27, on iPhone and iPad. It holds one focus that the person names themselves (“Private” until they rename it), plus Shield.
Notice. One button on Today: “I noticed it.” The same tap is on the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, in a Control Center control, on the Action button, and in Shortcuts and Siri. Pause. Three minutes, always the same length, and skippable at once. “It passed” and “I went with it” are there from the first second and look the same. While the phone is locked, the pause runs as a Live Activity. Patterns. The sentence of the week, a 24-hour clock of when moments come, what was around them, and twelve weeks at a glance. No targets, no numbers that rank the person.
Shield, free. With Screen Time, UUTA puts one question in front of the apps a person picks: “Still want to open this?”, with “Not now” and “Open for 15 min”. Stricter hours, a notice after 15 minutes and Apple’s web content filter are each one switch.
Private by design. No account, no server, no analytics, no third-party code. Moments stay on the device and, only if the person turns it on, in their own iCloud, with the written line as an encrypted field. Face ID locks the app. Outside the app nothing shows the name a person gives their focus. App Privacy: Data Not Collected.
Free for 21 days, then one payment, once. For adults, 18 and over. UUTA is not medical care and gives no advice.

Angles for coverage
- 1 One tap instead of a form. “I noticed it” is the whole entry; the pause, the context and a written line are optional.
- 2 Equal weight. “It passed” and “I went with it” look the same, everywhere in the app. No targets, no ranking, no celebrations.
- 3 Asks instead of blocking. Shield, free, puts one calm question in front of the apps a person picks, through Apple’s Screen Time.
- 4 Private by design: no account, no server, no analytics, no third-party code. Outside the app, nothing names what a person notes.
- 5 Built for iOS 27: Liquid Glass, a Live Activity for the pause, a Control Center control, widgets, Shortcuts and Siri, an iPad sidebar, and an Apple Watch app with a double tap to log.
